34092 City of Wells, SR West Country Class
A preserved SR West Country Class 4-6-2 Pacific, built at Brighton Works in 1949, an unrebuilt Bulleid Light Pacific. Withdrawn from British Railways service in 1964. Rescued from Woodham Brothers' scrapyard at Barry, South Wales in 1971 — one of the earlier Barry rescues.
City of Wells is a long-established resident of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in West Yorkshire, where she has been a reliable performer over many years and has also operated on the national main line in main-line certified condition.
Last recorded as based at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. Operating status: Heritage railway service / cycles. Current livery: SR malachite green.

Notable history
34092 City of Wells was built at Brighton Works in 1949 as one of the later batch of West Country class locomotives, an unrebuilt Bulleid Pacific retaining its original air-smoothed casing. Withdrawn from BR service in 1964 and rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1971 — one of the earlier rescues from the yard. Based at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, she is a longstanding resident and has operated on both heritage railways and the national main line. She carries the name of the Somerset cathedral city, one of the place-name West Country locomotives.
