Welcome to our gallery of Great British steam locomotives running on preserved and mainline railways. This footage has been filmed by a team of enthusiasts who work hard to bring you a variety of steam locomotive videos from across the country. Steam preservation lets us revisit history and capture the spectacle of a grand steam locomotive in its former glory, hard at work on Britain's heritage lines, galas and mainline excursions.

Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala 2015 – Golden Jubilee

Moments from the Severn Valley Railway's premier event during their Golden Jubilee celebrations, featuring visiting steam locomotives including 70000 Britannia and 46100 Royal Scot, with night footage and demonstration goods trains.

The Welsh Marches Express

4965 Rood Ashton Hall is a GWR 4900 “Hall” class 4-6-0 designed by Charles Collett, maintained at Tyseley Locomotive Works for mainline steam. This footage shows a mainline excursion from Birmingham Snow Hill to Walsall on 29 August 2015. When saved from Barry scrapyard the locomotive was first believed to be Albert Hall; only when stripped for restoration was its true identity as 4965 Rood Ashton Hall revealed.
