34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair, SR Battle of Britain Class
A preserved SR West Country / Battle of Britain locomotive, built in 1947. Rescued from Woodham Brothers' scrapyard at Barry, South Wales.
Rebuilt by R. G. Jarvis at Eastleigh in March 1960 from the original Bulleid air-smoothed form. Withdrawn from BR service May 1966; rescued from Barry scrapyard. Restored to operational condition at the Bluebell Railway. Towed in steam from the Bluebell to Willesden Euroterminal for a private event in June 2025 (a notable rare main-line excursion for the engine).
Last recorded as based at the Bluebell Railway, owned by Bluebell Railway / private owner. Operating status: Heritage railway service / cycles. Current livery: BR Brunswick green.
