Hauled the funeral train of Sir Winston Churchill from Waterloo to Handborough on 30 January 1965 — one of the most historically significant workings of any preserved British locomotive. Acquired directly from BR service for the National Collection in 1965 and preserved in original unrebuilt Bulleid condition. Not expected to be returned to operational service.
Last recorded as based at the National Railway Museum, York, owned by National Collection (operated by Science Museum Group / National Railway Museum). Operating status: Static exhibit. Current livery: BR Brunswick green.
