34016 Bodmin, SR West Country Class
A preserved SR West Country / Battle of Britain locomotive, built in 1945. Rescued from Woodham Brothers' scrapyard at Barry, South Wales.
Rebuilt by R. G. Jarvis at Eastleigh in October 1958 from the original Bulleid air-smoothed form. Withdrawn from BR service June 1964; rescued from Barry scrapyard. Has worked main-line specials in preservation.
Last recorded as based at the Mid-Hants Railway, owned by Mid Hants Railway / private owner. Operating status: Heritage railway service / cycles. Current livery: BR Brunswick green.
