5029 Nunney Castle, GWR Castle Class
A preserved GWR Castle Class 4-6-0, built at Swindon Works in 1934. Withdrawn from British Railways service in 1963. Privately preserved and restored to working order, gaining main-line certification for heritage excursion work.
5029 Nunney Castle operated on the national main line in preservation before her boiler certificate expired, and she is currently under restoration at the Dartmouth Steam Railway pending completion of overhaul.
