A preserved GWR Castle Class 4-6-0, built at Swindon Works in 1939. Named after the Boulton Paul Defiant RAF fighter aircraft as part of a wartime renaming of Castle class locomotives for aircraft types. Withdrawn from British Railways service in 1963. Preserved at Tyseley Locomotive Works.
