7802 Bradley Manor, GWR 7800 Manor Class (Severn Valley Railway)
Swindon, 1938, a preserved GWR Manor Class locomotive built in 1938. Withdrawn from British Railways service in 1965. Rescued from Woodham Brothers' scrapyard at Barry, South Wales and acquired for preservation in 1973.
7802 Bradley Manor was completed at Swindon Works in February 1938 as one of the original twenty pre-war GWR Manor Class engines. Withdrawn from Shrewsbury in November 1965, the engine spent some years at Woodham's scrapyard at Barry before being acquired for preservation in 1973. Currently main-line registered, the engine has worked main-line excursions including Cambrian Coast and Settle-Carlisle services.
Last recorded as based at the Severn Valley Railway, owned by Erlestoke Manor Fund. Operating status: Heritage railway service / cycles. Current livery: GWR Brunswick green.
