92203 Black Prince, BR Standard Class 9F

A preserved BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 heavy freight locomotive, built at Swindon Works in 1959. Withdrawn from British Railways service in 1967. Rescued from Woodham Brothers' scrapyard at Barry, South Wales.

92203 Black Prince was acquired by the artist and locomotive enthusiast David Shepherd, who restored it to working order and operated it at the East Somerset Railway for many years. It subsequently passed to the North Norfolk Railway and is currently on static display at Bressingham Steam Museum, Diss.

Last recorded at Bressingham Steam Museum, owned by the North Norfolk Railway. Operating status: Static display. Current livery: BR Brunswick green.
