73096, BR Standard Class 5MT

A preserved BR Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 mixed-traffic locomotive, built at Swindon Works in 1955. Withdrawn from British Railways service in 1966. Rescued from Woodham Brothers' scrapyard at Barry and based at the Mid-Hants Railway.

Last recorded as based at the Mid-Hants Railway. Operating status: Heritage railway service / cycles. Current livery: BR Brunswick green.
