6984 Owsden Hall, GWR Modified Hall Class
A preserved gwr 6959 modified hall class locomotive, built in 1948. Rescued from Woodham Brothers' scrapyard at Barry, South Wales.
Built at Swindon in 1948 to GWR design under BR. Withdrawn from BR service in 1965 and rescued from Barry scrapyard. The only one of the seven preserved Modified Halls yet to steam in preservation as of 2026.
Owned by Privately preserved. Operating status: Under restoration / not yet steamed in preservation. Current livery: Stripped/unrestored.
