2818, GWR 2800 Class

A preserved GWR 2800 Class 2-8-0 heavy freight locomotive, built at Swindon Works in 1905 as one of the earliest production batch of Churchward's ground-breaking heavy freight design. Preserved as part of the National Collection and displayed at the National Railway Museum.

Last recorded at the National Railway Museum, York, owned by the National Railway Museum (National Collection). Operating status: Static display. Current livery: GWR plain black.
