75029 The Green Knight, BR Standard Class 4MT (NYMR)

Notable history

75029 was completed at Swindon Works in 1954 and worked Western Region services through the late 1950s and 1960s. Withdrawn from Carnforth in August 1967, the engine was acquired by enthusiast Robert Cantrell who applied the "Green Knight" name in preservation, the engine was unnamed during its BR career. Currently a long-resident NYMR working engine.

One of six preserved BR Standard Class 4MT 4-6-0s, none was named in BR service; preservation-applied names are common on this class.
