Record note: this locomotive was held twice on this site, as D318 and as 40118 — the same machine under its pre-TOPS and TOPS numbers. Both records placed it at Tyseley. The 40118 record gave ownership only as "Private"; the more specific "D318 Limited" has been kept. Merged in August 2026.

D345 East Lancashire RailwayEast Lancashire Railway — D345, an English Electric Type 4 owned by the Class Forty Preservation Society and based at the East Lancashire Railway at Bury, the society's home. It carries BR Brunswick green with small yellow warning panels and its original number; under TOPS it became 40145, the number under which it was named East Lancashire Railway in preservation. It returned to the East Lancashire Railway from Locomotive Services in August 2025 and has since been undergoing repairs, some of the work carried out at West Coast Railways, Carnforth.
