Notable history

Designed by Maunsell and drawn up at Brighton, but built at Ashford Works in 1925. It was the forty-eighth locomotive to leave the Barry scrapyard, having stood there for ten years, and was named Aznar Line at the end of April 1977 after the shipping company that paid for the move out of Barry.

Once its overhaul is complete it will stay on the Swanage Railway under a twenty-five year agreement between the owner and the railway.
