46441, LMS Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0

Notable history

Built at Crewe in 1950 to H. G. Ivatt's lightweight 2-6-0 design, intended for secondary and branch work and easy to service, with high running plates and rocking grates that made a fireman's life simpler.

Owned by Chris Beet, it moved to the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway in April 2018, where it is to be based indefinitely and returned to steam.
