Additional notes

Location, livery and status last confirmed pre-2024, subject to verification.

Location uncertain and deliberately not asserted. 158A is part of the National Collection, owned by the National Railway Museum. It was displayed at the Midland Railway Centre at Butterley from 1975, went to Locomotion at Shildon for cosmetic attention, and from August 2022 was placed on a three-year loan to Barrow Hill Engine Shed. Where that loan left it is not established here. This site previously gave the location as the National Railway Museum on the class page and as Butterley on this record; both were out of date. Flagged in August 2026 for confirmation.
