4555 Warrior, GWR 4500 Class

Built at Swindon and entering service in 1924 from Tyseley, one of Churchward's 4500 class small prairie tanks for branch and cross-country work.

It is owned by and based at the Dartmouth Steam Railway, and works away as a guest engine: it hauled its first train on the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway on 17 March 2024, spending that season there in British Railways black.

Bought in working order directly from British Railways and never needing a restoration from scrapyard condition. On loan to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway.
