82045, BR Standard Class 3MT 2-6-2T (new build)

Status last confirmed August 2026. Subject to verification. Under construction at the Severn Valley Railway.
New build, genuinely from scratch. Driving wheels from BR Standard Class 4 76080, scrapped at Barry in 1972, were acquired for the project but rejected once it was established that the Class 3 tanks used 17-spoke wheels rather than 76080’s 16-spoke pattern of the same diameter; that wheelset is now an exhibit in its own right. No original 82xxx survived.
