sklr-bagnall
The Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway Bagnall locomotives are two 2 ft 6 in narrow-gauge Bagnall saddle-tank engines that work the SKLR's industrial paper mill railway in Kent: Superb (No. 4) and Alpha (No. 5). The SKLR was originally built to serve the Bowater paper mills at Sittingbourne and Kemsley, and the Bagnall locomotives were part of the industrial fleet that hauled paper pulp and finished goods on the narrow-gauge mill railway. W.G. Bagnall Ltd of Stafford was one of Britain's most respected narrow-gauge industrial locomotive builders, and the SKLR Bagnall engines represent this tradition in the preserved industrial railway setting.
